The department dispenses pharmaceutical products, advice medical and nursing staff on the selection of the appropriate use of medicines. It provides information and instructions to patients on how to manage medicines to ensure effective treatment.
\u2022 The department dispenses prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients only
\u2022 The department dispenses prescriptions with the stamp from the hospital\u2019s Outpatients Desk and the wards.
\u2022 Ward staff collect drugs for inpatients.
The department does not dispense any prescriptions issued outside the hospital, that is from general practitioners and other institutions as these have to be taken to retail pharmacies.
